Brinda Jane (Berry) Dean, 73, of Elkton, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg. She was born September 21, 1950 in Harrisonburg, Virginia and was the daughter of the late George R. and Louise Turner Berry, and was raised by her grandmother, Dorothy Turner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Ray “Danny” Dean Sr.; brother, Roscoe Berry and sister, Shirley Berry.
Brinda worked at Mick or Mack, Blue Bell/Wrangler, and retired from Walmart. Brinda loved the beach, especially the Outer Banks. She was a stay-at-home mom and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Brinda loved taking rides on Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway, and enjoyed riding in the golf cart with her husband. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Danny Dean Jr. and wife, Heather, Brian Dean and wife, Rebecca of Elkton; daughter, Andrea Spitzer and husband, Jason of Elkton; sisters, Wanda Hensley and husband, Keith of McGaheysville, Dorothy Berry; grandchildren, Kaylee Dean, McKaylne Dean, Cayden Dean, Cassidy Spitzer, Alexis Spitzer, McKenzie Spitzer, Gunner Spitzer.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the Church of Solsburg with Pastor Clyde Plum and Pastor David Burrell officiating. Burial to follow at Elk Run Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
