Yolanda Rolon Phillips, 86, of Staunton, died July 18, 2024 at Life Care Center of New Market.

She was born March 5, 1938 in New York City, NY and was a daughter of the late Louis and Virginia Mongold Rolon.

She was a homemaker and member of Mt. Carmel United Brethren in Christ in Fulks Run, where she played the piano.

On January 11, 1994 she married Allen Phillips, who survives.

Also surviving are five daughters; Yvette Lightner and husband John, of Green Cove Springs, FL, LaVonne Turner and husband Joe, of Bergton, Odette McCaul and husband Mike, of Rockingham, Denise Weaver, of Timberville, Linette Deputy and husband Mike, of Harrisonburg, one sister; Joan Gulick, of Raleigh, NC, one half-sister; Cathy Hall, of Inverness, FL, six grandchildren; John Lightner, IV, Shanna Mechiche Alami, Megan Weaver, Michaela Althaver, Mackenzie Deputy, Peyton Deputy, four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two half-brothers: John and Willard Burns.

Pastor Scott Budde will conduct a memorial service Tuesday 10 AM at Mt. Carmel United Brethren in Christ.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.  There will be no services at the funeral home.
