HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Before you head out for that summer vacation, it’s important to make sure your kids’ car seats are installed correctly.

That’s why the Harrisonburg Fire Department is hosting an event today to check car seats.

In a social media post, H-F-D said they will be at the Sentara R-M-H medical center entrance for visitors July 16 from 3 until 6 checking car seats.

The event is free and open to the public.
