Caly Belle Guyer, 17, of Mt. Clinton, Virginia, left her family and loved ones too soon on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. She was born on October 23, 2006, in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Caly was a beautiful, free spirited, goofy, smart and kind hearted young lady. She had a special place in her heart for her family and friends, especially her best friend, Annie Nelson.

She looked forward to being an upcoming senior at Turner Ashby High School for the 2024-2025 school year and was also attending Massanutten Technical Center’s veterinary assistant program. Caly also enjoyed working at Bridgewater Retirement Community in the dining hall as a server. She always took great pride in her work.

Caly had a huge love for all animals, but the one she loved best was her dog, Otis.

There was an inseparable bond between Caly and her cousin, Maliyah Conley. They thought of each other as sisters.

Caly is survived by her mother, Brandy Caruthers; father, Cory Guyer and step-mother, Mady; step-sister, Aubrey Shifflett; brother, Waylon Guyer; maternal grandparents, Jr. and Andrea Conley; great-grandparents, Weldon Guyer, Carl Harbin and Allie Conley; cousins, Maliyah Conley, Rilynn Harris, Matthias Forren, Damien Dellinger, Gannon Guyer and Evelyn Guyer; aunts, Amelia Conley, Amy Conley and partner, Dakota Forren, Lacey Morris and husband, Bret; uncle, David Guyer and wife, Natika; great-aunt, Angie Sanger.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandmothers, Evelyn Guyer and Peggy Harbin; cousin, John Howdyshell.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg with Pastor Adam Snow officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
