Leona Virginia Lam, 86, of Elkton, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at her daughter’s home. She was born October 5, 1937 in Rockingham County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Sibert and Sally Dean Hensley.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jonas Lee Lam, and all of her brothers and sisters.

 

Leona loved quilting, embroidering and cooking. She attended Elkton Pentecostal Church for many years. She was a devoted wife, and an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by all those who loved her.

 

She is survived by her son, Rodney Lee Lam and wife, Denise; daughter, Diana Lynn Breeden and husband, Ricky; grandchildren, Chad Taylor and wife, Misty, Wesley Morris and wife, Jenni, Kelly Morris, Rodney W. Lam and wife, Tiffany, Patrick Lam and wife, Kristin, Dexter Lam; great-grandchildren, Chase Taylor, McKaylne Dean, Bethany Morris, Reagan Morris, Raina Williams, Hadley Lam, Tristan Lam and Beau Lam; soon to be great-great-granddaughter, Lennon Shifflett.

 

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, June 30, 2024, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton with the Rev. Greg Stenson officiating. Burial to follow at Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton.
