ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — A structure fire across from the Rockingham County Fairgrounds left Route 11 closed for almost two hours last night.

According to Tyler Jessup with Rockingham County Fire and Rescue, the call came in at around 10pm for a reported structure fire in the 4800 block of South Valley Pike.

Upon arrival crews found a fire in the rear of the home and it was brought under control.

No injuries were reported but the occupants are displaced.

Jessup says an investigation is now underway. This is a developing story.
