Vivian Marie Lam Beasley, 64, of Elkton, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024 at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She was born May 23, 1960 in Elkton, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Floyd Allen Lam and Lillian Marie Merica.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Wilson Beasley; brothers, Gary Lam and Donald “Donnie” Lam.
Vivian loved the outdoors, working in her flower beds and gardening. She took pride in taking care of everyone. She worked at Browns Pharmacy in Elkton for 20 years and also volunteered at the McGaheysville Fire Department helping with fundraising events. Vivian was a member of Mt. Olivet Christian Church. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren. She loved her friends and family and will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Daniel W. Beasley (Jessica); daughter, Kimberly Dawn Bennett and companion, Melvin Bennett Jr.; sister, Dorothy Lam; grandson, Danny Ray Michael Bennett; adopted grandchildren, Hunter and Gracie Shifflett; honorary children, Travis Lam, Ronnie Conley Jr., Brian Stoddard, Aaron Stroop, Josh Lam, Justin Morgan, Brad Shifflett and Winter Shifflett; honorary parents, Earl Sr. and Betty Hensley.
The family would like to send their sincere gratitude for the extraordinary care that Vivian received from Dr. Kristine Reed and her team at Shenandoah Oncology and Dr. Maureen Hill at Winchester Medical Center and Sentara RMH Medical Center.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m., Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Mt. Olivet Christian Church with Pastor Wayne Wright officiating. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McGaheysville Fire Department or Mt. Olivet Christian Church.
