HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Nearly $265,000 invested by the cities and county tourism programs in the central Shenandoah Valley are being matched by state grants in an effort to boost visitation and visitor spending.
Governor Glenn Youngkin’s office announced this morning that the grants are part of nearly $3.3 million in marketing grants – including $32,500 for its “Reel ‘Em In With Reels” program.
Tourism departments in Rockingham, Augusta and Rockbridge counties also received funding along with the cities of Harrisonburg, Luray, Staunton and Waynesboro.
