HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) —  Repaving work is set to begin on Chicago Avenue in the City of Harrisonburg this morning.

One lane will be closed between Greystone Street to just north of Saturday Drive, and flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic.

Delays are likely as the work continues, and the city is advising drivers to use an alternate route if possible, to avoid congestion.

After this project is complete, repaving operations will then begin along East Market Street. Those plans are still being finalized, and more information will be released in the coming weeks.
