HARRISONBURG VA: (Rocktown Now) – An EXTREME COLD WARNING remains in effect until 10 a.m. this morning. According to the National Weather Service, “This is only the second Extreme Cold Warning (along with its predecessor – Wind Chill Warning) issued for the immediate DC and Baltimore metro areas” as far back as weather records go. Today will be another very cold day and tonight temperatures will again drop into the single digits. Monday, and the week ahead, will bring milder temperatures. However, a series of systems moving toward the Shenandoah Valley, could bring some mixed precipitation our way Wednesday and again for the upcoming Valentine’s Day weekend.
