HARRISONBURG VA: (ROCKTOWN NOW) – High pressure will make for a sunny weekend throughout the Shenandoah Valley with temperatures in the low and mid 80’s. The weather will begin to change on Wednesday with a frontal system approaching from the west, bringing warmer temperatures, high humidity and a chance for some thunderstorms each day. The chance of thunderstorms will increase at the end of the week, as well as the chance for stronger storms.
We also have a full moon today, known as the Sturgeon Moon. Plus, this Sunday, up to six planets are expected to align in a rare celestial event. According to NASA, this planetary alignment is especially noteworthy, as such ‘planet parades’ only happen every few years—and the more planets involved, the less frequently they occur.
