HARRISONBURG VA: (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The heat and humidity continue to grip the Shenandoah Valley today, accompanied by the potential for severe storms as a strong cold front moves through the region. Relief arrives Friday with drier, less humid air settling in. However, a dome of high pressure will build over the weekend, bringing a return to hot conditions. Temperatures are expected to climb into the 90s starting Sunday and continue rising into the middle of next week.
