The heaviest rainfall is expected tonight, with periods of heavy downpours possible. Rain will gradually ease into scattered showers by Thursday. High pressure will begin to build south of the Shenandoah Valley from Friday into Saturday, but another weather disturbance may approach from the northwest during the latter half of the weekend.
