HARRISONBURG VA: (ROCKTOWN NOW) – A low-pressure system will move through the area until Saturday, causing cooler-than-normal temperatures, gusty winds, and mountain snow accumulation. High pressure will return briefly on Sunday before another low-pressure system and front affect the region early next week. The weather pattern is expected to stay active as we approach Thanksgiving.

While a mix of rain and snow is expected in the valley, a Winter Storm Warning has been issued to our west from this evening through Saturday morning. In higher elevations, such as Southeast Webster, Northwest Pocahontas, and Southeast Randolph, including the cities of Harman and Snowshoe, heavy snow is expected with total accumulations between 10 and 20 inches and wind gusts up to 45 mph.
