HARRISONBURG VA: (ROCKTOWN NOW) – A high-pressure system will strengthen to the north of the Shenandoah Valley today. By Monday, it will shift offshore as an upper-level low begins a slow approach from the southwest. This system has the potential to bring much needed rainfall to the area between late Monday and Thursday.  This low will then drift gradually northeastward before transitioning into an open wave and moving away to the northeast on Thursday.
