From the National Weather Service
Dry and hot conditions are expected today. A cold front will
approach from the north midweek, then meander across the region
this weekend bringing additional precipitation chances. Cooler
weather will return with high pressure early next week.

The combination of heat and humidity will likely result in heat
index values of around 100 to 105 Wednesday afternoon. This increases
the risk of heat-related illnesses. There is potential for clusters of strong
to severe thunderstorms capable of damaging wind gusts Wednesday
afternoon and evening.
