HARRISONBURG VA: (Rocktown Now) – Temperatures will climb into the low to mid thirties again today and Friday, allowing for a little additional melting of the snow and ice around the Shenandoah Valley. A strong cold front will bring snow to the west of the valley on Friday, and near blizzard conditions in the mountains. Several inches of snow will be possible in areas from Monterey to Franklin and Moorefield and areas to the west. Here in the valley only light snow is expected. Behind the front, a strong pressure gradient is expected to bring gusty winds Friday night through Saturday morning. After the wind, extreme cold will stay through the weekend.
