STAUNTON VA: (Rocktown Now) – Paige Hildebrand with the Frontier Culture Museum explained Irish Road Bowling during WSVA’s Early Mornings. The museum is hosting the event this Saturday in partnership with Staunton Parks and Recreation. Teams roll a 28‑ounce iron ball along a one‑mile course, trying to reach the finish in the fewest throws. Spectators can watch from the finish line starting at 10 a.m., with live Irish music and costumed interpreters adding to the festivities. Limited team registration slots remain for afternoon times. The museum is also preparing for other spring events, including Toddler Time, Homeschool Days, and the April 4 Fiber Festival featuring sheep shearing, wool processing, vendors, food trucks, and sheepdog demonstrations.
