
Appearing on WSVA’s “Early Mornings”, Dr. Michael Richards, superintendent of Harrisonburg City Schools and school board member Kristen Loflin talked about several issues involving the school system. Richards talked about the government shut down and the impact of funding in the city schools. CTE, Career and technical education was also discussed along with new accountability standards, that in Richard’s opinion, will cause more stress on students as well as teachers.

Mikey Reisenburg, owner of Harrisonburg’s Mashita Restuarant, is expanding to offer cooking classes at the restaurant. On WSVA’s Early Mornings, Reisenburg talks about what inspired him when he was growing up and lead to his passion for cooking. Now he wants to help local foodies and inspiring chefs by sharing some of his tips on cooking.
