The Bridgewater College field hockey team dropped a heartbreaker to Mary Washington 2-1 in overtime on Wednesday night.

After opening the 2025 season at home, the Royals field hockey team made the trek north for its first road test of the season. After Goucher took an early 2-0 lead, the Royals were able to cut their deficit to one with a goal in the third. But the Gophers added to their lead with an insurance goal in the fourth, picking up a 3-1 win over EMU.

EMU Volleyball defeats Wilson in four sets for first win of the season

James Madison women’s soccer defender Jordan Yang has been named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday afternoon.

EMU Men’s Soccer senior goalkeeper Andrew Arledge has been named Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Aug. 31, per a release from the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
