An update to the Parental Leave Police was revealed at Tuesday night’s City Council meeting and it states that city employees can use up to eight weeks of paid parental leave within a six-month period.

The group Faces 4 Change (F4C) launched a bundle of materials titled “Methamphetamine Prevention and Intervention Bundle,’ which helps educate the public about the dangers of meth.

City Communications Director Mike Parks explained that the project’s interactive elements will allow children of all ages to enjoy 36 unique spray features throughout the park’s 6,000 square feet play area.

The Broadway Town Council voted 6-1 to terminate Miller as chief during a called special meeting last Friday.

Sections of Churchville Avenue, Grove Lane, West Frederick Street, and Greenville Avenue are among several other streets on the docket.
