Students from three Staunton City schools are set to release Brook Trout into local waterways this month, marking the culmination of their participation in the Trout in the Classroom program. 

James Madison softball put up four doubles totaling five runs and 11 hits as it defeats Georgia State by a score of 5-2, to earn its first road and Sun Belt Conference game of the 2025 campaign on Friday afternoon at the Bob Heck Softball Complex.

Georgia State limited James Madison baseball to just three hits, as the Dukes fell, 10-0, in seven innings due to the run rule on Friday night at Veterans Memorial Park in Sun Belt Conference action.

The Sears Hill Bridge closed in August of 2024 for repairs and renovations. City officials say the repairs were made using black locust lumber, a historically appropriate, rot-resistant material. 

Harrisonburg Roller Derby, Rocktown Rollers, will compete against Chemical Valley from Huntington, WV tomorrow, Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Funky’s Skate Center.
