Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine have introduced the Shenandoah Mountain Act and Virginia Wilderness Act to protect wilderness in Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, and Bath counties.

The Shenandoah Valley Conservation Fellowship Program named James Madison University students Annie Kate Walsh, Nathan Horner, Grace Eiden and Morgan Bailey as its inaugural fellows.
