The American Board of Wound Management Foundation designated June as ‘Wound Care Awareness Month’ to raise awareness about wound healing and recognize the challenges faced by individuals dealing with chronic wounds.
The incident occurred on May 18, when officers responded to reports of a stabbing victim at a 7-Eleven on N. Coalter Street in Staunton shortly before 3:30 a.m. The suspects fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
The awards will be announced during next month’s Bigger Together, which is a Community Celebration of Mentoring hosted by the organization at The Festival on the James Madison University campus.
