Man charged with abduction near Luray Caverns sentenced to three years in prison

Online records showed that Travis Matthew Hogan reached a plea deal with prosecutors during a hearing Wednesday morning in Page County Circuit Court. Hogan pleaded guilty to three of the five charges he faced, including abduction by force/intimidation.

HCPS Superintendent responds to Governor’s executive order on student cell phone use

Governor Glenn Youngkin issued Executive Order 33 today, which directs the Virginia Department of Education to draft guidance for public school divisions to adopt local policies and procedures establishing cell phone-free education. 
It is a move that pleases Harrisonburg School Superintendent Dr. Michael Richards.
