In 2023, visitors spent $242.2 million in Harrisonburg, a nearly 17 percent increase over pre-pandemic numbers that have grown every year since 2019. That spending supported 2,678 jobs in the city and contributed nearly $13 million to local tax revenue.
The event honors the heroic first responders of 9/11 by symbolically retracing the steps they took in service. Students enrolled in MTC’s Emergency Medical Technician and Criminal Justice classes will participate in the climb.
