HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – A lawsuit that was filed three years ago against James Madison University appears once again to be on life support.

US District Court Judge Elizabeth Dillon issued an opinion Monday that once again dismisses the lawsuit that was filed by former employee Alyssa Reid back in May of 2021 against the school and several faculty members as well as the US Department of Education.

Dillon had dismissed the case once before. However, in January, a three-judge panel of the Fourth US Circuit Court overturned that order, which allowed the lawsuit to continue.

Reid will now have 30 days to file an amended complaint.
