Yvonne Arlene Lutz, 81, of Weyers Cave, VA passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2024, at Sentara RMH Medical Center.

Ms. Lutz was the daughter of the late Robert and Arlene Whiting and was born on September 9, 1943 in Bath, NY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Timothy Lutz and her youngest son, Adam M. Lutz.

She graduated from William R. Boone High School in Orlando, Florida and later moved to Virginia. Prior to residing in the Shenandoah Valley, she resided in the Tidewater Area of Virginia. Yvonne was employed with BASF in Williamsburg, VA and later with the Virginia Department of Corrections at various community corrections locations in the Tidewater Area before retiring.

She was always a positive individual who was always willing to help her friends and family at any time and with anything. Yvonne’s family was the most important part of her life along with her faith, and she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and enjoyed watching ball games at all levels. She loved watching her granddaughter and grandson play sports from the time they were little all the way through high school as her family was her life.

Yvonne is survived by her son, Joshua Lutz and wife, Sheri of Weyers Cave; daughter Terri Kendrick and spouse, Angie Zeo of Grottoes, VA; granddaughter, Haileigh Lutz; grandsons, Hayden Lutz, Derek Zeo, and Dillon Zeo. She is also survived by her younger sisters, Sandra Glover, Roberta Pereira; brother, Bruce Whiting as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and many other family and friends whom she loved unconditionally.

Yvonne will be laid to rest next to her husband, youngest son and her parents during a graveside service at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg, VA conducted by Pastor Amy Pannell on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 3 p.m. Everyone that knew her is welcomed and encouraged to attend this celebration of her life.
