RICHMOND, VA (Rocktown Now) — Governor Glenn Youngkin has announced eligible taxpayers will receive tax rebates of up to 2-hundred dollars this fall if they filed individually, and up to 4-hundred dollars if they filed jointly.
Starting today, taxpayers who incurred tax liability in 2024 can see if they are eligible to receive the rebate online at Tax.Virginia.gov/rebate.
Youngkin stated that those who are and have filed state taxes before July 1st will receive rebates by the end of October.
Citizens who received a state tax refund by direct deposit this year should expect to receive their tax rebate in the same bank account.
Otherwise, taxpayers will receive a rebate check in the mail.
