SHENANDOAH COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Governor Glenn Youngkin has announced 12 infrastructure grant awards, totaling more than 497-thousand dollars, to support local food production and agricultural facilities in the state.
Among those grants, the Governor’s Agriculture and Forestry Industries Development infrastructure program will award 50-thousand dollars to Shenandoah County to provide larger space for multiple vendors and a new roaster to support Crazy Fox Coffee.
And specifically in the town of New Market, a grant award of over 45-thousand dollars will fund the renovation of a vacant kitchen into a commercial-grade commissary facility that will provide infrastructure for the processing of meats, dairy products, produce, and other local food products.
