ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Republican gubernatorial candidate Winsome Earle-Sears and Republican candidate for Lieutenant Governor John Reid stopped by the Rockingham County Fairgrounds this afternoon for a rally 5 days ahead of Election Day.
Reid addressed Democratic candidate Ghazala Hashmi at the rally on several topics, one of which was about the October 7th attack in Israel.
Reid said Hashmi did not invite Jewish people to a hearing to discuss students protesting on college campuses.
Reid added that he has been called Islamophobic but has lived in the Middle East.

“Don’t you lecture me about the Middle East, I’ve been around this world and I’m not going to allow the conflicts on the other side of the ocean come here and be cultivated in our own population,” said Reid. “You deserve to live in peace; you deserve to live in solidarity.”Republican gubernatorial candidate
