Wilson Lee Ewing, 82, a resident of Harrisonburg, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 21, 2024 at his home.
Mr. Ewing was born on October 28, 1941 in Harrisonburg and was a son of the late Wiley Robert and Ruth Virginia Knight Ewing. He retired from the Mt. Crawford VDOT as truck driver. He enjoyed the time he spent bowling in a local league. He was a member of Donovan Memorial United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his children, Faye Ewing, Curtis Ewing, Tommy Ewing; four grandchildren, Heather, Colton, Hunter and Dylan Ewing; and niece and nephews, Elaine Harvey, Mark Derrow, and Stevie Ewing.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ewing was preceded in death by his siblings, Edward Ewing and Betty Derrow; brother-in-law, George Derrow; and a nephew, Robert Derrow.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday morning, October 24, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Mt. Clinton Cemetery with Pastor Scott Harris officiating.
Those wishing to sign the register book may do so on Wednesday October 23, 2024 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
