WAYNESBORO, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – A Waynesboro man is the latest to face federal charges in connection with the January 6 riot at the US Capitol.
According to a criminal complaint filed Thursday, April 11 in US District Court, Darl McDorman has been charged with six total counts, including disorderly or disruptive conduct with a deadly weapon on restricted grounds, and engaging in violence with a deadly weapon on restricted grounds.
An FBI affidavit claims that McDorman fought with and threw objects at law enforcement who were attempting to block the crowd from entering the Capitol building.
He’s accused of launching pipes and folding chairs toward officers, in addition to striking others with a wooden flagpole.
