WAYNESBORO, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Waynesboro man who was arrested in December in connection with a road rage incident will appear before a grand jury.

According to online records, John Rodgers had his felony malicious assault charge certified to a circuit court grand jury during a hearing Tuesday afternoon in Waynesboro General District Court.

The 59-year-old Rodgers was arrested on December 16th after he was accused of stabbing a 37-year-old Augusta County woman with a long-bladed weapon following a traffic dispute the week before in the 12-hundred block of West Broad Street.

The victim was taken to the University of Virginia Medical Center to be treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Rodgers remains held at Middle River Regional Jail.
