WAYNESBORO, VA (Rocktown Now) — A man is in custody due to his alleged connection to a burglary in Waynesboro.

On December 1st, Captain Benjamin Lemons says that officers responded to a report of stolen property from a business located in the 700 block of North Bayard Avenue.

After investigation, officers identified Christopher Dakota Thomas of Waynesboro as the alleged suspect.

The 24-year-old was taken into custody last Friday on felony charges including Burglary, Obtaining Money by False Pretenses, and Destruction of Property.

Thomas was also served two additional misdemeanor warrants for Petit Larceny unrelated to this incident.

He is currently being held at Middle River Regional Jail.
