WAYNESBORO, VA (Rocktown Now) – Waynesboro Public Works continues around-the-clock efforts to clear roads across the city.

As of today, crews are reportedly focused on opening residential roads across all zones by 7 o’clock tonight before operations transition to widening streets, cleaning intersections, and addressing key trouble spots.

Officials say the storm’s heavy, dense snow mixed with sleet and extremely cold temperatures has kept crews working 12-hour shifts since Saturday, January 24th, to keep routes moving and to restore safe travel throughout Waynesboro as quickly and safely as possible.
