WAYNESBORO, VA (Rocktown Now) — The City of Waynesboro is asking residents to continue to conserve water as drought conditions in the Shenandoah Valley worsen despite recent rainfall.
Public Works reports that the drought stage for the area has bumped up from “Drought Watch” to “Drought Warning.”
In response, officials suggest the community continue to conserve water by taking short showers, turning off the tap while brushing teeth, running only full loads of dishes and laundry, and by checking for leaks, especially around bathroom plumbing.
Water conservation should continue until further notice.
