ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The first Wawa in Rockingham County held a grand opening celebration Friday morning.

The popular gas station is located on Rockingham Pike near the intersection of Mount Hermon Road.

The latest opening continues the saturation of the Philadelphia-based stores throughout Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley.

Wawa has over 100 stores in the commonwealth and is scheduled to open another store in Staunton this Fall.

The grand opening featured free t-shirts for the first 100 customers as well as free coffee all day.
