STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) — Staunton officials broke ground Wednesday morning for the new Wawa station on Richmond Avenue.

Mayor Michele Edwards stated that the construction of the new station reflects the momentum that the city is seeing such as businesses recognizing Staunton as a great place to invest, residents benefiting from new services and job opportunities, and visitors finding more reasons to stop and spend time here.

The store is scheduled to open before the end of the year.
