ROCKINGHAM COUNTY VA: (ROCKTOWN NOW) — The Rockingham County Department of Public Works has announced a scheduled waterline repair project in the Penn Laird area for Wednesday, September 3rd. The work will take place in the vicinity of Wild Rose Drive and Watertower Road and is expected to last for one day.

According to the county’s official notice, residents and businesses in the affected area may experience temporary service interruptions or reduced water pressure while crews carry out the repairs. The Public Works Department emphasized that the project is part of essential infrastructure maintenance aimed at ensuring the long-term reliability of the county’s water distribution system.

County officials are urging residents to plan accordingly and to exercise patience during the brief disruption. “We understand that any interruption in water service can be inconvenient,” a spokesperson said. “Our crews will work diligently to complete the repairs as quickly and safely as possible.”
