Wallace Willard Hensley, 81, of Elkton, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024 at the Martinsburg VA Hospital in Martinsburg, WV. He was born May 4, 1943 in Rockingham County and was the son of the late Dorse Steven Hensley and Kathleen Dean Hensley.

On December 24, 1974, he married his long-time love, Lucille Erlene Hensley who preceded him in death March 29, 2015.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by step-daughters, Susan Dovel, Kathy Good; brothers, Lewis Hensley and Jesse Hensley; sister, Lorena Lee Morris.

Wallace worked for Rocco and George’s Chickens for over 38 years before retiring in 2005. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during Vietnam.

He is survived by his son, Darren Sisk and wife, Dawn; step-daughters, Joyce May and Linda Cunningham; step-son, Adam Wright; brother, Henry Hensley; special caregiver, Leona Reynolds; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m., Friday, November 15, 2024 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton with Pastor Travis Hensley officiating. Burial to follow at Elk Run Cemetery.

A visitation will be 5 to 6 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2024 at the funeral home.
