PAGE COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Virginia State Police continue to investigate a crash last week in Page County that left three people hospitalized and snarled traffic all afternoon near the town of Shenandoah.

Spokesman Matt Demlein reports that the incident happened last Thursday afternoon, April 2, when a 2003 Toyota Tacoma was travelling south on Route 340 when it crossed the center line to avoid two vehicles making a left turn. The Tacoma then abruptly crossed back across the centerline to avoid a northbound tractor trailer.

The abrupt lane change caused the Tacoma to strike a 2012 Subaru Legacy and the impact forced the Subaru into the northbound lanes, where it was struck by the 2016 Mack 600 truck.

Two of three people injured had be airlifted to the hospital.

The driver of the Tacoma, William Stillwill of Luray, was arrested and charged with several offenses, including obstruction, driving while suspended, and reckless driving.
