HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Virginia’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in November increased by a tenth of a percent to an even three percent.

That is over a full percent point below the national rate.

According to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Virginia’s labor force increased by more than 3,300 in November to over four and a half million with a labor force participation rate of 66 percent.

And non-farm payroll employment rose by 5,300 in November, bringing total non-farm jobs to over 4.2 million.

Governor Glenn Youngkin said in a statement that these figures show continued strength in Virginia’s workforce.
