ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal crash last week in Rockingham County.

Sergeant Brent Coffey stated in a release that the accident happened along Route 11, just north of the intersection with Moore’s Mill Road around 2:10 a.m., Thursday. He said that a 2017 Toyota Tacoma was traveling north when it ran off the left side of the road and collided with a tree.

Justin McGuire, 27, of New Market, died at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt, but Coffey said that alcohol is being considered as a possible factor.
