HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community will be partnering with Forefront, a premier partner with LeadingAge Virginia to elevate the dining experience for residents, family members, visitors and VMRC staff members.

Forefront, a recognized leader in the senior living and healthcare industries, will now provide culinary services in the VMRC community.

Officials say Forefront brings fresh innovations that will enliven the daily dining experiences of all who savor meals at VMRC.

“We’re ready to get started with Forefront and their award-winning approach to creating fine culinary experiences,” said Scott Richardson, Vice President of Independent Living, including dining services. “Our new partner is well positioned to leverage our unique assets, such as our farm, to deliver experiences rooted in quality, freshness and seasonal ingredients.”

Officials add that dining matters because it is core to the quality of life for the residents who call VMRC home. Residents and guests of VMRC enjoy culinary experiences in multiple ways: the Main Street Cafe offers a quick and casual experience; Seed & Harvest offers upscale and creative dining, and the nearby Espresso Bar extends trendy eats and drinks to guests. The Grille offers mindful meal creations and the Harman Dining Room provides an elegant experience. VMRC’s Farm at Willow Run drives health and tastiness through its wholesome ingredients.

“We’re really excited to partner with a community that offers a true farm-to-table experience. VMRC presents a unique opportunity for Forefront to uncover new innovative opportunities to serve residents and guests of VMRC,” a spokesperson for Forefront says. “Through our new collaboration, dining becomes more than a service but a joyful and savory part of community life.”
