AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles launched a new advertising campaign this morning to promote motorcycle safety training.

The 30-second video seeks to increase awareness of the Virginia Rider Training Program and encourage motorcyclists to enhance their skills through this vital training.

The DMV reports that as of July 31, Virginia has experienced over 1,200 motorcycle crashes, resulting in 63 deaths and among the jurisdictions with the highest number of fatalities is Augusta County.
