AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Verona man who was arrested last summer on rape charges will have to wait another two months before going to trial.  

The trial for Bryan Glenn Andes was supposed to start this morning in Augusta County Circuit Court, but according to online records, it was delayed until May 19, 2026.

The 57-year-old Andes was indicted by a grand jury in May of last year on five charges, including two counts of taking indecent liberties of a child and rape of a victim less than 13 years old.

The alleged offenses date all the way back to January 1st of 1999, through January 30 the following year.

He remains held at Middle River Regional Jail and is scheduled to appear in court for a pre-trial hearing on May 1.
