WAYNESBORO, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a design public hearing next month concerning corridor improvements to West Main Street in the city of Waynesboro.

The open house meeting will take place Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. in City Council chambers at the Charles Yancey Municipal Building on West Main Street.

Citizens can come in anytime during the meeting hours and discuss the project on a one-on-one basis with VDOT officials and designers.

The project will replace the center turn lane with raised medians that allow left turns only at designated median openings.
