WEST AUGUSTA, VA (Rocktown Now) – UPDATE: The Rattlesnake Run fire is now 100% contained.

At around 10 o’clock Monday night, the US Forest Service announced that the 295-acre fire that was located off Forest Service Road 96 by the Wild Oak Trail is now fully contained.

Thirty members of forest service staff, along with two Type-6 engines, a dozer, and two helicopters were able to secure a line around the fire and reach full containment.
