STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) — Two left hand turn lanes will be closed on Richmond Avenue in Staunton on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Staunton City officials say paving work will be taking place and left turns will be temporarily restricted at the Richmond Avenue entrance to Walmart. This means Westbound traffic cannot turn left into Walmart and vehicles leaving Walmart cannot turn left onto Westbound Richmond Avenue.

Officials note that Richmond Ave. will remain open to through traffic. If folks are trying to access Walmart, enter and exit using the Frontier Drive entrance near Lowe’s.

The paving project comes after a water main break on December 17.
